RTG Ventures' Audigist Attracts Top Indie Talent From Partner Aderra
NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Aug 24, 2011) - Audigist.com, the music sales platform for unsigned artists owned by RTG Ventures, Inc. (OTCQB: RTGV), has started to attract top US talent, including four new acts from partner, Aderra Records. In recent weeks, over 60 percent of new acts signing up for the service have come from the United States, but acts have also joined from the Caribbean, Vietnam, Europe and Africa. Aderra Records' acts include yOya, which has been the number one most searched band on the site since signing up.
The new acts include:
yOya - a folktronica duo that is getting great press and will be a feature act at CMJ in October. Great traction is expected with their new record next year.
Killola - a Punk/New Wave act that has had some great TV placements and are featured in a film that is slated for release in Q2 of 2012. Aderra is releasing a split 7" with them and Tsar next month and a new full length record this fall.
Zaptra - Electronic act who recently did remixes for Duran Duran and the Bell Rays.
Dominic Hawes-Fairley, CEO and President of RTG Ventures, said: "Competition in this space is really heating up and it's no longer enough just to have volume. As more artists choose to carve an independent career, tools like Audigist.com are becoming important not just for the revenues they create through track sales, but also for identifying and exploiting other earning potential. That means attracting quality bands that have true commercial appeal."
With 900 artists now registered and over 2,700 tracks available for purchase, Audigist.com is developing a solid stable of artists and Hawes-Fairley explained that the company is seeking to create new revenue opportunities:
"Our mission is to create incremental revenue streams for our artists and that means thinking creatively and finding opportunities to earn that are not blindingly obvious. We've got some great ideas that are being evaluated now by our marketing partners and in the meantime, we're making relationships with other companies that can add dollars to our artists' accounts."
All tracks on Audigist.com can be sampled before purchase and artists earn 95% of every sale.
